In order to ensure our customs and alcohol tax compliance requirements, taking into account the legal requirements, we are looking for a 

Manager Customs & Excise Taxes (f/m/d) 

The following core tasks await you: 

• Checking and finalizing monthly tax declarations (including de-taxation) as well as the annual inventory report for the alcohol tax area
• Analyzing new regulations and legal provisions and determining the resulting need for action in the area of customs law and alcohol tax law
• Creating/checking and updating cross-divisional work and procedural instructions in the context of alcohol tax and customs processes and monitoring their implementation
• Management of existing customs authorizations and alcohol tax permits (extension, monitoring)
• Examination of official notices and processing of all questions in connection with official inquiries for the area of alcohol tax and customs, including lodging appeals
• Accompanying customs audits and tax supervision measures in the area of alcohol tax and customs as well as monitoring the implementation of audit findings
• Training internal interface partners with regard to issues relevant to customs law
• Technical support with regard to alcohol tax and customs processing as part of SAP implementation projects or other IT projects

Your qualifications & skills: 

• Completed degree in economics with a focus on customs law / taxes or similar
• Several years of professional experience in the field of customs law, foreign trade law and alcohol tax law
• Confident handling of SAP ERP and SAP GTS as well as MS Office
• Very good knowledge of English and German
• High sense of responsibility
• Structured, independent, self-reliant and solution-oriented way of working
• Confident, engaging demeanor and enjoy working in a team
